A note on care
Keeping this sky gentle.
atlas is a public community art project. These few boundaries help each story remain a light someone else can meet safely.
Share only what is yours to share.
Leave out full names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, account names and links. A first name or nickname is always optional. Please do not identify another person without their permission.
Your star is public.
Once accepted, your words, chosen location and optional name can be read by anyone visiting the Starfield. Your submission is checked automatically by OpenAI before it is stored in Supabase and shown publicly.
Care for the people reading.
Stories containing harassment, hate, sexual content, graphic violence, instructions for harm, advertising or private information may be blocked or removed. Automated checks can make mistakes, so every published story can also be reported.
You can take your star back.
Stars shared on your browser appear under Your stars. Keep the private deletion link if you may want to remove one from another browser. Anyone who loses access can report the star, choose Something else, and describe the removal request privately.
How long things remain.
Published stars remain in the shared sky until their author removes them or a report leads to removal. Report explanations are private and used only for moderation and maintenance. Rejected stories and resolved reports are not public and are cleared during regular owner maintenance.
What happens behind the scenes.
atlas does not require an account to leave a star. Cloudflare Turnstile helps protect the form from automated abuse, OpenAI checks submitted story text for safety before publication, and Supabase stores the published Starfield and private moderation records. A pseudonymous browser-generated identifier is used for rate limiting; the server hashes it before storing the rate-limit record.
